Reelax shake down cruise 4/8/10

Got out this morning with Heijac, on the inland sea to see if everything still works...... Glad to report all systems are in working order and things went well... Put in at appleisland at 730am. Water at surface running at 34 until we approached the old river mouth... There we found a patch of 40+deg water.... Had a release off the board as we were still setting up..... He ended up being around 17" so he went right back, sorry no pic..

The weather was nice and with south wind, no waves...


As previously noted, mature alwives are floating all over and on the beach and causeway.... The all looked large.



Lots of other boats out, looks like Plantstone launched off the sand bar....

Around 11 the wind started picking up and with the forecast we decided to call it a morning....

I guess not getting skunked on the shakedown was good enough!
