Sounds like some pretty nice salmon. I would have been much happier fishing this weekend instead of being on call for work but I did get 4 hrs of overtime that means more fishing supplies.

They were caught early Saturday morning. The only thing I could say about the dis colored is there was some rusty tool stored in the cooler I carried the fish in this weekend. But other than that. Don't have an answer. They were truly caught Saturday the 7th of February 2015

I have heard there are people saying I cheated. For what couple hundred buck and ruin my reputation I don't think so
I have never cheated at a derby. I respect fishing too much

Sounds like someone is upset they got beat

And no we never got picture the day we caught them. We moved to new location and were very busy chasing flags
When forgot to take pics after we weighed them in

Wow, those are some incredible weights in the walleye, northern and lake trout categories. also good to see the weights in the salmon coming back up, they have been low or not in recent years.
congrats to all that braved the cold and placed.

Congratulation Gene

The salmon bite was much better than average both days. My brother, myself and one friend have been chasing salmon in this derby for I think seven years now. We have had some success over the years and this was the second best bite we have seen. Our best fish was only fourth but we had a blast out there. The three of us only ran 28 tip ups and jigged spoons and the jigging did just as well as the live bait.

Love catching silvers on a 2 foot rod through a 6 inch hole

I think the fishin for salmon in the winter would be better if they weren't all in Randy's live well....
