Where to Stay?

Post by Rainbow1 »

Good Afternoon,

I'm looking for recommendations for places to stay in the Town Farm Bay area. We are salmon / trout trollers and that area looked kind of fishy. We did Champ years ago, in late August out of Keeler Bay and got all white perch. We've been mostly on Winni and Moosehead and would like to add Champlain as a go to. If that area is a bust, any other thought would be great. We're just looking to get started in the right direction.

Thanks,
Jim

Years ago I was looking for motel in that area and didn’t really find anything,so we did an airbnb ,coming from ny,we have been staying for years at the Westport hotel in westport ny,it will be a little longer of a drive for you but it’s a nice little adk hotel,90 bucks a night, beautiful launch ramp right next to the hotel and marina 1/2 mile down the road.owners are super nice.plenty of good water to fish from Westport to town farm.

That little motel is a gem. Although after meeting the owners - Jane and Jim and their dogs Jamie and Juno (i think that's the new pups name) I need to change the description to jem! It's nothing fancy but they're great people, it's clean, lakefront and inexpensive plus right next to the launch.

Maybe I'll run into you. I'm more of a last minute person once I see the weather. I'm in a big 16' tin boat and vertical jig on top of that so I need to pick my days!

Will do.

I've still been skiing every chance I get but I guess it's time to face the inevitable end of the season and get my mind on fishing!
