ATLANTIC SALMON DIET SAMPLING - THIS SATURDAY (4/12)!

Post by graham_montague »

Hello Lake Champlain anglers!

Following up on my previous post about our Atlantic Salmon diet study. I'll be starting collections THIS SATURDAY (4/12) at the John Guilmette Access Area (Apple Island boat dock).

Quick Details:
-I'll be set up by 8am at John Guilmette Boat Ramp
-Keep your salmon in a live well (preferred) or on ice
-Just shuttle your catch back to me at the boat ramp
-You keep all the fillets - I just need the stomach!
-This research helps improve Lake Champlain salmon management

Contact me if you're interested or have questions:

Thank you for supporting Lake Champlain salmon research! Your participation is invaluable to understanding what these fish are eating throughout the year.

Hey Graham,
What time will you be packing up? I tend to move around a lot looking for the bite and might end up as far as 10 miles from the dock and will do my best to contribute to your study….
Thanks in advance for your work!!!!

My goal is to get 15 total fish, so however long that takes! If not, I probably will not stay much past 2-3pm in the afternoon.

Thank you for your help Pat!!!

Are you fishing Inland Sea on Sunday? I may need to reach out to others on Sunday if we can not get our 15 total fish in the inland Sea.

We have postponed tomorrow for Sunday. Weather looks cold and wet for tomorrow morning till mid afternoon. What port works the best for people Converse or Inland Sea? Take a vote?

Thanks!

Graham, we have a few boats fishing bullwagga and points north tomorrow out of the launch under the Champlain bridge. We can bring you live fish as needed all day if needed, if things go well we can supply all 15 fish for you.

So Graham will be out on a boat tomorrow in Keelers. For those that are fishing tomorrow in that area if you have some fish in your livewell swimming and or on ice contact Graham to transfer the fish to him. Text: 216-973-4183. Maybe he will get to his goal of 15 salmon tomorrow! Thanks! Graham also said he could drive later to meet those boats down south as well.

Plan is back to tomorrow.
