Fishing west side of North Hero Island

Post by pfu »

Never fished north of the gut but interested in a house up there. Any insights into fishing the deep water west of North Hero Island? Hate the thought of having the right boat and gear but lack of a fishery. Inland Sea doable but long haul from potential house.

Great area for warm water fish and walleye. Not as good as it used to be for salmon. You can find lakers anywhere except the inland sea north of sandbar.

Hope this helps.

Get in touch with Pete Murray of Trout Scout Charters. https://www.troutscoutchartersvt.com
He lives on Isle LaMontte and I believe he fishes up that way most of the time. He used to frequent this site but hasn't been on here since 2015.
Let him know you're thinking of relocating up that way. Great guy...straight shooter.
Pelots Point can be productive for coldwater fishing in the spring.
Catch and serve with lemon.
