N.Y. TRIB 9/22

Post by champlain fisher »

Got out on my favorite N.Y. trib for a few hours today. Water level was real good and the temp felt pretty good as well. Caught a ton of fallfish and a cople of smallies as well. Missed a few bites as well. Didn't manage to lock up with any salmon. See 2 guys fly fishing and one of them had a nice salmon on and lost it at the bank - fish looked to be 5-6 lb size. See a couple other swirls and drifted crawlers through where I see them but no takers. I will say that there are some salmon in the tribs here on the N.Y. side. Water still a bit warm yet for attracting the mother load of the run. Water levels are great for the fish to come just needs to cool down a little more. Gonna hit the tribs a few times just to see if the numbers are rebounding to the glory days of the 90's. Would love to hook up to a 10 plus salmon in the tribs.
Salmon, the other pink meat.

CF - keep us posted as I'm guessing as those temps drop and we get a little surge the rivers will be plugged!
