Sunday shakedown aboard Reelax

Post by Reelax »

Met Black Ghost and DA committed at the Winooski launch this morning at 8am. Image No ice and little rip-rap out the mouth. 2.3 fow and dodging some lumber, but no problems... Image Ended up north of providence by the time we finished engine breakin... Colchester fill still froze in... Image Setup for lakers, no action. Set up for salmon... No action... Only bait we saw was in front of opening... Image Image Little bumpy at times up to 4 footers... All systems checked out 100% and boat is DYP ready... Thanks Raz, and Homewrecker for the pics...

What a day to be on the pond and to find LOTS of open water. Had a good day cruising around the lake with Homewrecker , no fish, but speed and crew moral were in the right place. 35 degree water gave the fish some lock jaw. May have snagged one on our way in, right in the warmer water by the mudline, but it was a splash at the surface then gone. Warmer days are coming and the water is going to warm up nicely, just need this wind to lay down...4 footers right outta the gate!

Great to see Ken, Scott, Raz, Matt and Dean at the launch today all ready to go fish open water. Converse and town farm is next fellas
