Converse Saturday Trip

Post by Wdrnr »

Went to Converse today for the first time this fall. The 17 ft Whaler launched just fine but the water is still pretty short.Set up in front of Gardener though everyone seems to be headed to Whalons. Got into the bait right off at 50-60 ft. the fish were there till the fog lifted. Nothing on the big side,as has been the case this fall, lots of 18-20 inch . So we did a solid dozen salmon and just one laker.Sounds like Instigator was into the lakers all day. Lots of folks around pre FROSTBITE. Water was clean 52 and water flea filled.

Good to see you out there Dave. I was on the smokercraft. With Griz and Raz. We did 13 salmon and 3 or 4 lakers. All fish released. Nice day on the lake with a slower bite, but lots. Of boats. Good to also see intheoffice, plantstone, Tucker, Reggie, supercab and a few others...

Can't wait till next week. Fish on.

Check. So nice to get on the water - yes. Lotta boats and nice sun too. I always thought plantstone would go to a bigger boat though, not a smaller one haha! -intheoffice

Nice! Managed more lakers than salmon today. Lakers in the calm whalons, salmon in the blowing mid lake. Fleas for sure..
the boat...got it to keep up with the kids and realized i could   turn salmon into smoked meat with it ... still dialing it in - only a month or so strong...

I mostly remember laughing. A fun day out there for me after a month or so on dry land. Great getting out, seeing others and feeling the pull!
Catch and serve with lemon.
