Finally!! The lamprey barrier on Morpion stream is going! It's going to be finalize very soon.

The Morpion is one of the major Stream for the lamprey spawning ground. I'm sure it will help to diminish the lamprey population in the lake.

The barrier is going in the water today. :D

This is big, thanks for sharing. I knew they'd been working on this for a while, I was hoping it was going to get in this year.

It's been a loooooong time coming! A trap that big should bag a lot of lampreys! Hopefully we can get some pics of those too.

It's great to see this kind of effort. Hope it accomplishes its goals. Looks like a pricey bit of metalwork. No chemicals involved. Always a plus.
