Hey - I just joined this forum - hoping for more info/feedback/interaction than I've seen for bass on the cjohn forum. Either way - I went out today (been really bad luck for the last month or so for me, fishing wise). Launched out of Shelburne Bay. I thought the water/terrain looked great for smallies. Tried rattle trap, spinner bait, craw fish carolina rig, shaky head worm, power bait minnow - finally got two nice smallies (2lb, 3lb) nearby the bay. Awesome fighters. Wish I could have gotten more but it's better than last weekend (skunked).
If anyone ever wants to go out, PM me. I moved here to work on the bridge and have been fishing Champlain since last year so I have some experience with the lake but not as much as most people. We usually work Mon - Sat so I try to get out on Sundays. I live in Vergennes now but fish from Ticonderoga - Shelburne and am willing to check out other spots if anyone is interested.
Take it easy - Kevin
