How are the lake conditions?

Post by fishmaster176 »

I plan on spending some time on the water on Thursday and was wondering if anyone has had problems with debris. I know enough to avoid the channel entrances. I'll probably launch out of Malletts Bay. This will be the shakedown for the new engine, so I don't want to put it into a log the first time out or the second or the third......
Thanks,
Fred

Hi,

I put my boat in at the launch in Mallets Bay yesterday and there was a bit of debris in the inner bay. I am sure the outer bay will have debris off the river and through out the big bay.
Be careful.

Thanks, I may wait until the crap clears. I'm not one to risk life and limb for a fish. I may head to Van Everest if the wind is calm. It's usually pretty good over there. Not any big feeders in the area.

I fished in front of Eagle Mtn yesteday.. There was a desbris line out around 100 ft around the east end of the IS. Mostly grass and weeds, and a few branches... Nothig that would damage a boat.. I did see one 10ft log over by the bridge to the outter bay floating. But other than that the sea was very boatable....

There is plenty of debri floating around on the main lake but if you take you're time and pay attention you should be fine
