Salmon Quota event results.....

Perfect conditions for tomorrow for the Westport area all the way to Split Rock. Graham will be collecting data from 12-1 pm at the Arnolds bay floating dock. We use 4 gallon jugs of ice to keep the fish alive in the livewell. If their gills stop moving we put them on ice for Plan B. We have only had one fish die this year going on 6 months of keeping fish alive. We have 7 boats signed up for tomorrow from texts put out there. If anyone wants to help the more the merrier. Pre Shoot-out like event!

Fount’s boat has been down for a while. Dick Vance is waiting on some motor parts as Founts Evinrude is a pretty old motor. He hopes to have it ready for the shoot out. He and I havent salmon fished for about 2 months.

Great showing of 5-6 boats today and perfect conditions with 60F and calm waters for the window today that ended at 1 pm. 3 salmon brought in which put us 1 shy of our target but nonetheless a nice result for the month of September for Graham. We we're 1/3 on legal salmon today and tons of shorts / 4 lakers to 8 lbs / Small rainbow. Heard of 4 legals lost by a few of our help boats. Fleas are nearly gone now! Time to re-spool 12 lb main line back on. Great time today and thanks to the help boats!

This is awesome Gerry! If we hold future events on a weekend Oct-Nov-December I will add you to my list of 20 boats I text. Send me your contact information on a PM here.

October will be a grind but a few salmon or more will help a lot! We have had 6 months straight hitting our quota since April when it began. 3 more months to go!
