Willsboro Friday
Willsboro Friday
Haven't fished Willsboro in a few years. What a beautiful area. No problem launching but the level is way down. Set up before Hatch Point and worked the 100-120 line around the point past Pumpkin Reef down to Ligonier Point. Just used 2 riggers with cheaters. Picked up 3 small lakers on that run. One had a lamprey on it and another had a bad lamprey wound on it. Headed out to 4 Brothers and back towards Pumpkin Reef. Just out from Pumpkin Reef down 80 over 120 we finally hit silver on a orange/copper Speedy Shiner. Nice healthy fat salmon. Not long after that we had a good fish on for awhile but never saw it. Looped back through our marks and had a couple knock offs. Headed up to the Sunken Island and did a couple laps around it with no takers. We decided to call it a day around 1:30. Good temp down 80-100'. Marked a lot of bait and quite a few fish above 50'. It wasn't fast and furious but it was a great day on the water.

Re: Willsboro Friday
Nice fish. I fish this water all the time. We did well with Lakers and some salmon near Hatch the other day. The lakers were big fish and the bait was enough to keep them there for a while. Water was 55deg at 70ft at the time .I hope we can still launch for a while.

Hello Fishing Pole,
I'm not familiar with the late summer lake levels but it seemed really low to me. Jim kept an eye on the trailer wheels so we didn't drop off the ramp. Hopefully you can keep getting after it there.
