CI morning glory

Post by C-Hawk »

Just a heads up, if you guys don't have a CI morning glory on your lines, might just as well go home. This lure has caught more fish for me in the last 10 years than all the CI blue moon combined. Don't leave the dock without it.

Are you running the silver or gold cupped one, C-Hawk?

I too might be critical of all the sideway photos but haven't yet mastered how to even add one.

I am feeling the same way, Dipsey.
And now C-Hawk will have us buy both cup side colors
And lord knows you can't ever buy just one of anything!
You aren't in cahoots with Todd are ya, C ?

Dear sirs of this August group...Mostly because of this being August and nothing any more profound. But all kidding aside I recently decided to place my order for a couple of C-Hawk's highly recommended CI Morning Glory lures. But feeling frugal at the moment and also wishing to purchase a couple more of Mssr Flint's Eclipsed's (which are currently doing right by the Salmon over here in New Hampshire on Golden (Squam) Pond) I am ordering only two each of the silver cupped version. And we all know you can NOT safely buy just one as evidenced by the current impossibility of even getting a sniff of a Yozurri Purple Brown Trout! But that aside men, I am here now to revisit a mild curiosity about the two above mentioned fellows being in cahoots... Or somewhere thereabouts! And I no sooner fired off my request when our beloved man Flint (you all remember the character played by James Coburn who was always surrounded by beautiful women. But do not get nervous TUnamus, Mary Ann and Ginger had prior commitments) comes back (Todd Flint that is) to give me pause with advice stating I "Will not become a member of THE CLUB" unless I also purchase the gold cupped Morning Glory version. So now I am also bound by my own mantra to never buy just one. And it is also said in fishing, "Him who dies with the most toys wins." Please add the gold ones to my order MR. Todd as I have no wish to enter the lottery at Converse Bay without a ticket!
Thereby will I remain your penniless pal Parenteau of not so sunny Northfield separated once more from what little mad money there was. We would have trolled more but for the price of gas.
And I can't help but wonder how many the other guy who was lamenting the need for yet another lure wound up buying? But more importantly we would hope C-Hawk at least gets a discount for his promotional part.
"Hurry, hurry, hurry! Get your red hot lures! We got em, you want em! Get away sonny you bother me!"
You better not leave the dock at Squam without some of Todd's Eclipsed's, Jeff
Todd's Eclipsed's
Try saying that three times

I too, Jump, wondered about C-Hawk and Todd's agreement to promote the CI Morning Glory. Do you think he is compensated with cold hard cash or intel on where the bite is hot? Naturally after reading this thread I decided to look through my boat tackle box to see if I had one of the highly sought after Morning Glory patterns and discovered I did not, so up the stairs of my garage I went and tore through my 4 other tackle boxes and NOTTA! Shortly afterwards I found myself in the same conundrum you faced, do I order 2 of each or 1? If I order 4 it will put my salmon spoon collection over 400 which might get me an unexpected intervention by my family for hoarding tackle. I suddenly realized of all the lures I own there are really only 6 that are my all around go to no matter the conditions, do I REALLY need more???
As I walked into the house and was taking off my boots I noticed the boot tray was FULL of my lady's footwear, just like our downstairs closet AND our bedroom closet...... Four CI Morning Glory lures will be on their way to add to my arsenal 8-)
