Reelax LCI report

Post by Reelax »

Had the pleasure of fishing with Dave Fondry and SteelieJoe during the LCI. We launched south out of Arnold’s bay day 1 and 2 and converse on day 3. 8 hrs of trailer time during derby mostly in the dark this year.

Arrived at 430am in Panton to launch on day one expecting to beat Tommy and Freddie and we were wrong:( they were already setting up:)

We fished hard during the derby and caught many salmon. Day one ended with counter at 15, day 2 we landed only 8. Day 3 we went north and found 13. 26 fish total and 20 were salmon.

Biggest was just shy of 22” and biggest laker was iust short of weighing in.

Good to see Fathead on water with buzzy and others south.

Weather was good and we never saw a white cap for 3 days which is different for the derby’s for us.

Camping on Bomoseen since and my wife has been kicking my ass fishing for 3 days here:) time to head back down to lake… gotta call this short and let the pics tell the story:)

Fish on!

Given your intel leading up to the derby along with the dedicated crew you had Matt I figured you would have placed for sure. You know the saying about best laid plans….
It’s good to see I’m not the only one whose wife out fishes them, you’d better get a bigger crawler if you want to beat your better half’s bass!

Those are some nice looking fish, you guys did well !

When we saw you out on the lake Sunday I told my daughter that was a good sign we were trolling in the right spot because you always do such a good job finding and catching them !
I do not exaggerate when I talk about fishing - I underestimate, like I say "just one more cast honey, then I'll come home" !
Keep Calm and... Fish On !
