Having missed the month of May my fishing buddy of 30+ years got the lines in on Tuesday. Put in around eight and Glad there were no issues with the boat and we could fish with out worries. Stayed in the Bay most of the time where it stayed calmer then the main lake. Fished for 3hrs with 2 short salmon and 8 lakers. Six of the Lakers were over 7lbs and really clean of Lamprey hits. Fish all came above 30ft with one Salmon hitting while setting the rod. Water temp at 58 on top and 51-55deg at 30ft down. We tried hard to find bait but to work but no luck. It felt real good to be back out on the water. Good luck to all.
