I decided to try the local Clyde River one more time looking for the famous Salmon Run. Beautiful class 3 rapids, pure Vermont wild stream. Again several hardy fishermen with fly rods, spinning outfits lined all the good spots. Nymphs, salmon eggs, power bait, runner minnows.nothing worked for these guys. So I went back to "Fishing 101"... Fish eat worms.
Caught two right off. One just under 18" the other 19 1/2". Not King Salmon or even their big brother Land-Lock Salmon...Salbego Salmon , better than getting skunked. Night Crawlers win. If it ever stops raining on weekends I'll get my boats out. Until then.
