Oswego

Post by striper192001 »

Fishing out of Oswego for first time in over 25 years with two buddies. Goal was to target browns in shallow water. Arrived early Monday evening and launched in Wrights Landing in Oswego little after light. Wind was out of east so not bad. Started slow and we picked away at fish on planer boards and riggers. Sticks seemed to be working the best. Then in the afternoon skies cleared and the fish seemed to turn on. Ended up 14 for 18 and kept six for the freezer. Mostly atlantics with a smaller percentage of browns with one real nice one we released as we already had our limit. Really fun day. Will try to load some pics

How many days do you get to play in that area?

Sounds like a Great day 1 and also like the Atlantic salmon population is doing well in the big lake!

Thanks for sharing. Look forward to seeing you at the DYP!!

We had 3 days. We waited til noon to launch today in hopes the north wind would subside. It was 4-5 footers outside the wall. We tried to play and had one release on a planer board that took line right away and then was gone. One mate got sick so we headed in. Was only out couple hours. Tomorrow looks mildly better......we will see.
