Your boat will kinda resemble one of those Mexican cars with the LED’s under the carriage shining on the road as you trailer. I wonder if you’re gonna add hydraulics to jack the boat up too while in traffic for show?
Had to ask;)
Actually think they look good. Definitely help while setting up in dark. I never used a flashlight at 6am at sand bar the other morning. Kinda handy!! The light on the trailer would help light any outside fixtures while setting up in dark..
Very interesting Ron.

That's funny. Coming from Tucson, AZ you would see a light-show every night. Still cool.
I would be interested in some experienced boatman installing a new modern wiring harness, switches, with new inside LED lights and Bow spot lights.
I installed LED trailer lights to replace the old bulb style last winter..Works great. I see many complete harness systems list on line but installing is way-different than just buying. Anybody looking for a winter project?

I bought a set of magnetic flood lights I attach to my side guides for backing my trailer in the dark, they work AWESOME but the only problem I have is getting to the launch when it is still pitch black
Seeing the sexy lights you put under your trailer Ron has me searching the internet looking for some bling for my Mistress for Christmas, I’m thinking pink lights because that’s the wife’s favorite lure color and will certainly get folks talking on the road and whispering at the ramp.
Stay tuned!

Those spotlights look awesome. Did they come magnetic or did you mount magnets ?

The Feit lights I have were a Costco find but you can get similar on Amazon for around $25/pair or a little more at Lowes or Home Depot. They have STRONG magnets on the handle/stand and were a home run for me as most trucks do not have a back up light feed in the factory trailer harness and to tap into the feed is a PITA plus I can use them around my garage etc. Super cheap hassle free to add lighting for early morning launches to avoid running over your fishing buddy and use in the boat once off the dock.

These magnetic lights are a wonderful addon. No wires to run and they last a many hours before recharging.
Great option when launching in the dark, and can also be used anywhere a strong portable light is needed.
Thanks for sharing the info.

I think what pushed me to do the accent lights Matt was seeing your boat loading at the shoot out. Like I mentioned I didn't realize it was your boat. The next step was to do the trailer. Now after completing it I found it it's illegal to have accent lights over the road on vehicles or trailers in Vermont. However, a switch solved the problem Bob from Vermont Home and Marine told me. He said the guys are using accent lights on their big trailers for their cig. boats and switches to be legal. Now I can simply switch them on when arriving in a dark parking lot. I think they will help walking around a dark trailer getting the boat ready from the outside before climbing in and finishing the job.
T-H Marine sells these trailer accent lights and they can be found on Amazon for $138 per kit. I chose to do two kits to fill in both areas under the trailer that needed light.

Thanks Gerry! My next project on deck is to tint my windshield and add a ceramic film to reduce heat from sun 95%. A combo benefit.Gecha (Gerry) wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 11:31 am Wow, impressive .... Can't miss that trailer in the water.
