Vessel View for Mercury

Post by Digitroll Fishing »

I added Vessel View 5 years ago and it's been a nice accessory for my 200 Mercury. Track rpm's and fuel burn on the app on my phone. I log all my maint. I do. It tells you by hours when that maint. is due. Blue tooth connectivity to phone. When I am away from the boat I can pull up my phone app and check fuel left in in tank and hours on engine. When I pull a tube for the kids I just use the App tracking rpm and mph. A great multi-use tool!

I added this last year and saw all the same benefits. Also I was wondering if I needed a different prop as I wasnt getting proper rpms at top end. What I discovered was that the Tach on my boat was way off. It was actually off 1000 rpm or more at top end.
Getting a read of the actual hours was a great benefit and allowed me to get my 300 hour service on time. I really think it will help my engine maintained and last longer. I have a 2012 Verado 150 hp
It is also very easy to install......plug and play.
I am installing this weekend the Smartcraft troll control so I can accurately control trolling speed. I have been on Reelax and other boats and seen the benefits. Great tools !

Very nice Andre! In addition.... Troll Control I have been using since 2006 (19 years). I could never go back to a kicker. Mercury has some great features and benefits from their accessories that are reasonably priced compared to the competitions..

It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since you repowered with that 200 HP Merc and posted a video of it.

And now you have nearly 2,000 hours on it. That's a lot of boating/fishing/recreating time!

Wheen it's to windy for the kicker I like to use the troll control on the VV.

12,000 miles recorded on my Simrad AP since 2013 when the boat was new. Season 6 on my 200 Hp re-power. It's been flawless. Barely broken in at 1,944 hours! :)
