Optimal Laker Temp Range
Was wondering what your experience was regarding the best temp range for feeding lake trout on Champlain? Will be heading up this weekend and plan to jig.

I don’t tgt Lakers but somewhere in the 50-52 range is what I think they prefer. If I’m wrong I am sure someone will help correct me.
Hurry they are getting BIG...

!?! Seriously you can't just drop a pic like that with no explanation. How am I supposed to sleep after seeing that?

With time we could see those. Get the lamprey under control, plenty of deep water for them to hide, there is no reason they couldn’t fit up to 30-40. I’d like to break 15 as a start on champ personally!

Re: Optimal Laker Temp Range
That laker was caught by a father and son, out of Duluth Minnesota fishing Michigan waters out on the west end of isle royal, giants out there . Been many times.. coldest water in lower 48..and lakers taste better than most fish ..fillets are bright red and they only feed on rainbow smelt... if you ever get s chance go go there you should. Might not come back.....
