I am using Magda-20s on my regular rods, and Magda-30s on my slider rods and they do the work. They are inexpensive reels and if you handle them accordingly, will last you many years.

Lake Champlain. Tekota 500 lc. You’ll never buy another reel. Expensive yes.

I apparently spoke too soon about the Magda. Something let go internally this weekend and had to handline 180 feet of braid. Can't spin the handle, spool won't turn, drag locked down. Happened on a hit of a fish which I also lost. Haven't a chance to take it apart yet but Tuna Toms may be getting an order.

Damn, my Magda failed me today, too! The lever to release the spool fell right of and sank in the lake.
