How is the bass bite?

Post by wesson357 »

Hi,
I did'nt fish Champlain the last month.
I think tout try for bass around pointe au roche. Do you know if they started to school? Are they Deep?
Thanks

They're starting their fall routine. It was good last weekend in North hero.
Best baits that worked for me were super flukes.

Hi,
Fished yesterday between pointe au roche and the gut. I had very hard time to find fishs but finally found a bunch on the edge of a reef in 15-20 fow. Caught all of them with waky senko. 12 fat bass SM and 2 pikes.

VTmopar, Can you give me an idea of their fall routine please? I'm not used to fish Champlain during fall. I fish mainly st-laurence river.
Thans !

Sounds like you did well.
That's great.
I'm no expert but my experience in fall bass fishing is that they tend to school up and start feeding heavy in shallow flats. 10-20 FOW.
Also I've noticed if you find them this year they'll right back they're next year, and the year after.
