I have poured a bunch of bank sinkers in the past using the cast iron pot and ladle method. I had collected a few molds off e-bay over the past 6 months and put some hooks together to come up with some deep water jigs to mess with. Santa was nice to me a I got a Lee pro 4-20 melter, so it is easier to work with. I have used lead head jigs in the past with either bucktail, marabou or soft plastics that I made myself from factory heads. Larger sized heads are hard to find with light hooks so I wanted to make some to my specifications. Though I would share what I have had cooking so far:
Pictured on the left is a 1 oz 5/0 with #7 barrel swivel for attaching a blade., 1 oz stand up erie with a 4/0 heavy wire & 4/0 light wire hook.
On the right is a 2 oz spoon, 1.5 oz spoon and 3/4 Hopkins for size comparison.
