Dodged the rain last week and found the silvers.Fish were from the surface to about 15’Ran shallow riggers, 1 cores off boards, and flatlines with small sticks Jason’s post prompted me to post this report Norteast Troller spoons in greens and orange did well Best strike of the trip came on a fly rod orange tandem streamer in the prop wash fish hit the fly twice and we missed him both times I always run a fly rod early in the season doesn’t always pay off but the strike and fight is wort it Be back up next week

Curious, what are you running for a fly rod ,size? Floating (w weight?) or sinking line, and leader length? Have seen many different flyrod programs and the fight is the best!

Fly rod I use is custom 9’ I run floating 5 wt fly line however splice in a 5’ section of sinking line then run about 25’ fluorocarbon line
8 pound test.Last couple trips have been experimenting with the wiggle fin disc 2” above the fly gives fly great action.Good luck
