Winooski Launch (Colchester Point)
Winooski Launch (Colchester Point)
Does anyone know how the lake out front is? I know it gets shallow out there, don't want to try to launch there if its too shallow, but want to fish that area this weekend without driving out from mallets or up from shelburne. Is there still enough water for a 20ft aluminum?

Lake at 96'.
Be close. Mouth is real birmed up.

Does the state ever do anything to make a path for when the lake is lower?a little dredge work and a hole lot more launches would be functional
Re: Winooski Launch (Colchester Point)
The state doesn't even consider dredging Keith, Army Corp has input on that I think.
On this subject, I launch at Sandbar Sunday, went under the bridge and there's about 9" of water for approximately 15' that had to pull motor completely up and use paddle to push thru in order to get to water deep enough to put motor back down...barely enough to draft bottom of boat in.
I suspect mouth of Lamoille and Winooski will have same issues, even though we've had some recent rain.

I hear you, but this isnt low water level. Average is just about 96'>.
The rivers do need to be opened up.
Wont happen too many libs.
