...Forgot to report how we found fish(3 salmon, 1 laker) ALL on same exact setup except for exact distance out:
2-2.5 mph based on gps.
60-80 feet out to Mini Diver with "Mottled Green" MP-6.
37 degree water
12-20 FOW running slalom through the empty moorings ...exciting.

Re: DYP DERBY CHANGED TO SUNDAY
Great derby ! Met some new people - Always nice to put some faces with the avatars. A special thanks to Dean for all of his hard work putting the event together and to Ken " Black Ghost" for showing me how it's done with flies. It was well worth the trip .
I am sure glad we missed the windy day !!!
Thanks again, Jack

No doubt we had a blast and overcame many obstacles. An adventure for sure aboard your fishing machine Ted!Ahhspray wrote:Dean and Everyone I met at the DYP today - Thanks for a great day!
A special thanks to Raz for fishing with me and for being kind enough to head-butt my first salmon EVER into the boat for me since the scrawny net I had wasn't doing the job.
My next project is to get my main engine up and running so I can see more of the lake. It ran great on muffs this morning but once at Champlain... nada. We ended up putting around with just the kicker. Always an adventure.
I learned a lot and had a blast.
Thanks, Ted
I was happy to help you with your first salmon and your biggest Lake Trout to date!
FISH ON!!!!
AND...Thank you Deano for another fun event!!!!!
Catch and serve with lemon.
