I like the 3 points on one side rule. I currently shoot nothing less than 4pter or bigger. And pass most 4 & 6pters.

Did the harvest report come out yet? Is there talk of lifting the ban?
That article was from 2009. Has anyone been to their local taxidermist recently and seen all the overflowing monsters from last season from VT?
I think they need to modify the restriction to 3 per side or do away w it for archery seasons. Need to get the better genes back. In addition... Herd health has some to do w the restrictions. Bigger bucks.. Yes.. Cuz their older. Bigger racks.. Yes... Maybe... For now.... They report on age structure vs weights etc in reports... But wheres the data on the antler points? Habitat and weather of course affects herd health. But... What about the number of does?

there is talk of lifting the ban, some people want it removed, some want to go to 3 on a side, this petition calls for more time(3 years) to gather and analyze data

Re: spikehorn ban petition for VERMONT
remember, this is just a petition started by a few concerned hunters who want the spikehorn ban to remain for a few more years,it is not a law,it is merely an opinion poll, results will be shown to the F&W department to help show them what hunters want for the future of the VT. deer herd
