I hear the browns are on the bite as soon as ice goes out... Maybe as early as late March....

Ben,
We have gone as early as April 1st....depends where you are launching out of...We launch out of Fair Haven, so we have to wait for little Sodus Bay to open up to launch and get thru the shoot to the main lake...which is all of about 500 yds from the launch...it usually goes early....we call over end of March, and usually its open...we have only had to break ice twice in the 20 +yrs I have been going over. I am booked from April 12th to 22nd this year, historically we do well during this timeframe....
