So with the new year comes an opportunity to go down in history as a DYP winner and have your name immortalized on a fabulous trophy and retain bragging rights for 1 year.


We sign up as an angler with or without a boat and we are only limited to the amount of anglers with a boat. We will draw names from each bucket till they are paired up. The rules are simple;

1. Two anglers per team.
2. Honor system start at sun up, weigh in at 2pm at Point Bay Marina.
3. Heaviest fish wins.
4. species; Salmon, Brown Trout, and Steelhead (Rainbow Trout).
5. All fish weighed on same scale.

After a BBQ and award the trophies and give out prizes.
I would like to set the date as April 28/29 and start to gather names on this thread. I need your;

I will try to answer any questions here as they arise.

Glad to see the 2nd annual DYP getting kicked off. I think this even is a great idea and there should be some excellent fishiny byu the end of April... Please sign me up!

You may want to check with Jim Dattilio as his derby may be on that same weekend. It has been in the past. I would like to do the DYP if not the same weekend as the Dattilio derby and i would bring a boat.

oh...and I would like to put in an early requesat to be matched with Gerry-Raz. I just heard a fish story from Big Ben of a recent fishing outing with Thorny, Matt and Raz and fishing with any of that crew sounds like a hoot!!

Dean, Just realized the Dattilio derby isnt until May. I'm in.
