Sea Lamprey Control Petition...2012

Post by raz »

For the past several years Lake Champlain International has had an on-line petition for folks to sign in support of Sea Lamprey Control for Lake Champlain and it's tributaries. This year is no different. A new year, a new petition.
Please take a minute to read and sign the petition, as we all love how Sea Lamprey Control has helped make this world class fishery just that...World Class!!!

The petition can be found here: http://www.change.org/petitions/maintai ... -ecosystem

Be sure to share with your friends!

Thank you.

Thanks, Raz, for putting this up. You beat me to it! We do appreciate it. These petitions are not just meaning less gestures. The previous petition played a vital role in LCI's ability to get USFWS to take over the program from VTFW and increase the program's funding from $200k to $700k! These simple actions go a long way and DO make a difference.

Shortstop (Bob) - What a great photo! Would you be okay with us (LCI) using it in some of our informational items? Everyone knows they effect salmonids, but photos like that would be good images to convince warm and cool water anglers they need to be concerned too!
