Interesting day

Left Friday am out of Westport with a good friend from Warrensburgh. Trolled from just outside the bay up to near Split Rock before a release. Lost whatever it was, cruised to Vt. shore, no hits, back toward Split Rock with water temp at surface up to 66 degrees at noon. . Friday evening Whallon's Bay was 46 degrees. We found a spot where the water was mixing to 52-54 degrees and then a release with a small laker, each time through a release. Ended keeping a couple of average lakers and a chunky 20 inch salmon all in about an hour. The only thing that worked for us were these two large spoons(the ones on the left are identical, just showing both sides)the one on the right was the fishes main choice.

Thanks for the report. Water temp changing quickly now.
Glad you got some slime in the boat and food in the box.

The lure on the left is awesome. We put a 13# laker in the boat last year during the Rotary with that one. I love the brown trout pattern too. Always productive.

I believe the spoon on the left can be found at Datillios.
