We need to start complaining more to get the docks in earlier or this will never change either
Re: How about a dock report?
Don't expect docks on the sandbar side until August. That's what Apple Island told me when I tried to launch last Friday. The sate has the entire Apple Island Marina out of commission. As a result of this construction Apple will not be selling passes this year since your can't park anywhere and their launch is blocked. The state owned side was also not usable. The parking lot was chained off. The state ramp was also blocked by concrete barriers and construction vehicles.

I recently spoke with Mike Wichrowski, Fish/Wildlife Administrator about the Converse dock. He basically said that the State contracts with the Dock Doctors and that the installation date is up to them. Didn't sound too promising.
Wonder if it may be a project the Forum members could tackle & do ourselves??
Just need the right equipment.

Sounds like they just need a little help with contract deliverables. It is easy enough to require a dock to be in within 10 business days from ice out to recieve full compensation. Then implement a 5% decrease for every day that the installation is not complete.
I will share this concept with them when they send the response to my question.

Bill I have been thinking along the same lines but maybe we should bid on putting the docks in and then put all that money toward DCC work we could get read of some Cormorants and have our docks in when they should be.

I just spoke with the Dock Doctor folks. Converse docks were scheduled for installation today. I was told it shouldn't be a problem to have them in by the weekend.
