Yesterday was a very nice morning according to the forecast. So I woke up well before the sun even thought of rising and made the drive to the dam at Waterbury reservoir. An old fishing hotspot for me when I used to live in Stowe. In the summer you can find Smallmouths and large panfish all along the drop offs and rocks. Its no secret for sure haha. So I get there and stomp thru the packed/powder/ and slush to a few reliable spots from the past. not a damn thing even seen on the camera. I have had this in the past, but it was a nice day, so I drug everything back to the truck and made my way to Champlain to rendezvous with my family.
Battled this beast on a noodle action 28" pole with the buck's mini reel and 2lb test. 5mm tungsten jig (yellow perch) pattern tipped with a red worm. This was a good fight!
