Knocked one down
I have had a very SLOW season so far, 5 sits and one deer seen on stand. Wednesday night was a different story. I had deer coming in from the North, South and East all before 5pm. Ended up taking a 35 yard shot at a doe and watched my arrow zip through behind her shoulder. After a few jumps she was out of sight but heard her crash. I backed out for 45 minutes, then went back in and began a short track job of about 65 yards. 111lbs clean dressed.

Thank you all. I hope it cools down a bit soon to make some bucks move during daylight. Going to do some scouting and move some stands around in the morning. After a morning duck hunt.

Nice doe! Love the background scenery too with the mossy forest.

Thanks, That's what the whole swamp looks like. Its a deer bedding mecca. My big doe last year died right by that big stump over my left shoulder. I guess its a good spot for them to meet their maker.
