It varies by year and rainfall, but hopefully by late Oct it will pick back up. The few fish you do pick up this time of year can be pretty impressive...
Here is one from Sept '11 on the Inland Sea
I think this may have been the only legal salmon caught that day....
Fish on!

Chad,
The fall salmon fishing really takes off around Thanksgiving... September is the hardest month out of the year to find anything consistent. 40 50 fish days are just around the corner.

Thanks so much gentleman for the input new to this whole trolling for salmon thing. I had great success up till end of july being of august. Now I pick one up here and there. Do the fish return to the port henry around later in the year or only after ice is on the lake? I enjoy catching them with friends I take out fishing and mostly my son and step daughter. I would like to get my father on a few before it gets to cold for him out. Look forward to meeting you all at the frostbite tourn. in November cant wait. tight lines
And for you crazy ivan when is norms bait and tackle gonna get more of your lures in I try to get a few each week but I have most everything he has left on the wall which is not vary many. lol Just will have to wait till spring when he restocks.
