That's what I was hopeing for a nice brown or steelie! I would not have minded one of those small coho's though!

The cohos are a blast in the river. Don't see any good numbers of browns or steelies until Oct. From the middle of Oct on the steelies really start to show. The run of browns in the SR is just enough that several are caught. Ther eare some big ones that enter though. Last year there were also several atlantics caught and there have been a few this year as well.

CF; I have some friends that go over fishing steelies in the winter and they do pretty good and get some nice ones. My hands can't take that any more to....o cooled!

I try to get out for the steel during the winter months also - it is brutal at times.
