Set 25/26 trips with a special treat

Post by Shortstop »

We fished both Sunday and Monday... Both days were just beautiful with no waves. The start of
Sunday gave hope, 25 minutes into the trip. The cheater on rigger 3 fires... 20" salmon. Or as
my wife has started to say "one silver". Then the perch and cisco started. We marked a lot of bait
and fish. VERY slow after that...

Today, we targeted open water..... 90-175 FOW. Managed only on lake trout. It was only 14".
We did manage to see one Buck.... yes, I did say one buck in 125 FOW swimming to shore. It was
swimming towards Port Kent... We did get photos.

Nice small rack. A moose or deer, it's funnier to cross them in the water than on the road.

Very cool Bob. We have seen many deer swimming between Schuyler and shore over the years. I fondly remember my wife asking me what the brown bouey was for. As we got a little closer she realized it had a rack much like the one in your pic. Looked like an awesome weekend. Thanks for sharing.

That's a fine day! I have yet to capture a deer swimming on the lake which tells me I don't spend enough time out there!

Bob, I recognize that boat, I think we were right behind you coming into the bay through the breakwater there. That was us in the cruiser coming back from a day across the lake.
