Did minimal scouting this year down south but hung a plot Camera the Sunday before opening day. Got a couple of birds strutting in the fields but half of what I usually get.

Called in a Hen on opening day but no Toms or Jakes. First Saturday I had two bucks come into my set but no luck with the turkey's. I have noticed groups of birds up in Chittenden Co but my opportunities all got posted up a week prior to Bird season.

I hope next weekend The Toms start cruising the fields looking for a date.

The bird I got today had 3 other gobblers with him and a dozen hens! Its going to be good in a week or so, heard of a buddy that found a nest with 15 eggs this weekend. Goodluck.

Worked two gobblers mid morning but could not cut the distance. Bugs are starting to come alive!
