Looking for some information as to what is the smallest size Stainless Steel Ball Bearing swivel with snap lock? I have one left and no package. What make and from where (warehouse or on-line). What goes thru your top guide? I have a few Duo Snaps, but I'm getting a lot of line twist with Floro, so maybe a good quality S.S ball bearing snap swivel might help.
Thanks,
Speedy

Hey Speedy - this isn't really answering your question but I use a BB snap swivel that is small but it still doesn't fit through my guides. Then I use a 4-6' flouro leader with another snap swivel up on the rod end and just a duo-lock snap on the lure end. I don't seem to get line twist with two bb swivels back to back and while not a completely clean set-up, the single snap down at the lure seems to allow better action and is pretty clean on the business end.

Had some good solid strikes on Memphremagog last night and lost one right at the boat. All on 2 colors of lead, nothing on flatlines. ...was my shakedown and didn't really give it the ole college try for fishing but it was nice to get out and confirm that everything was working correctly. Means my seasonal maintenance routine didn't screw anything up. lol.

59deg surface temp was certainly surprising to see! Have you had much action there yet?

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear there is something out there. I live about one mile from Memphremagog. Got my 16ft AlumaCraft, re-wired and tuned up. My 19ft Sea Nymph with loads of toys is next to dust off. I think I found the I.D. for the tiny swivel I have...a Dream Weaver Stainless Steel Ball bearing # DS3, size 1 or 2. Now trying to find a warehouse that has any in stock. LOL

I'll send you a PM
Thanks
Speedy

I would add that a welded ring on the swivel is preferred to a split ring. I was able to get the welded ring ones from Cabelas. I can say that it is no fun having the split ring pull apart as you bring a nice salmon to the boat. I also put a bead on the main line to ride above the swivel. This keeps the hardware from damaging the line guide at the rod tip.
