Winter Rewiring Completed

Well after many cups of coffee, I stripped out the old and installed all new wiring in my (boat #2) 16 ft AlumaCraft. I'm the third owner and what a mess was left there. Now all 12 gauge marine wires, marine terminal ends, fuse block, rocker switch panel, master battery disconnects with 6 gauge battery cables, textured plexiglass console panel. Everything works...BUT. While cleaning up the transducer for the old Humminbird Helix 5 Sonar G2 [2 D), I discovered that it had been repaired/epoxied ? Has to be 100% waterproof..right? First thought after cleaning it was to apply a thin coating of marine silicone all over it. Fish finder works but used to shut off after 45 minutes...then I could rest it back on. Any ideas, besides throwing it overboard. LOL
Thanks,
Speedy

Not sure why your transducer is shutting off after 45 minutes, sounds like internal components or circuitry got corroded if water got inside or it’s passed their expected lifetime.
You did a great work with the rewiring. Looks neat.

Nice and neet. Good work. A replacement transducer is just running a new wire and fairly reasonable.
