We keep chipping away at the 15 salmon target for September. 3 salmon brought in today for Graham with 3 boats participating pushing the total at 11 for the month as of yesterday. Thanks to first time helpers Thorny and crew and Daniel Leclair out solo. After two hard days of north wind we knew it was going to be tough with the temp break 85-90 feet where it was 62F. Screen was blank with 90% of bait deep at the break. Nothing down there could get bitten today. 30 feet early and 50 feet on the slide divers took three bites with one lost halfway to the boat fish. Our Smart Troll system kept us in this window for our divers and this turned out 40-50 feet the best place for the fleet even though it was 66F from surface to 80 feet. As it became rough the last hour and a half as we quit at 12:30 pm we began picking up and the rigger fired hard and we had 4 jumps out of a 5 plus salmon losing it as it crossed a wire rod that we had set down reeled halfway back when the fish hit the rigger. It crossed the wire and tangled and the last jump came off 10 feet from the back of the boat. Here is that short video: It hit a CI Blue Moon at 50 ft. 2/4 day on legal salmon was one of our better efforts lately with this tough September bite. Met Graham at the dock and Rob brought in a nice 21" salmon to help our effort. 4 left to catch now!
