Took the wife and th dogs for July 4th wk to ButtonBay State Park 1st-8th.
So far great weather and conditions. Some nights I’ve had to close windows in the camper…
As usual Theresa is kicking my butt fishing.

catch a nice 17” small mouth she gets a 19”… I get a big 24” catfish, she lands a monster 30” cat that towed her in the kyack all over button bay.
No net, no pliers. What an ugly release that thing was!!
Fireworks on the 3rd were great right from our campfire…
Happy July 4th to all!!

Good for you guys, Reelax
There is something hypnotic about an open fire
And this is beginning to look like the "The Year of the Cat"-fish at Champlain. And outta place ones at that.
If I lived next to Champlain my vacations would be local too
Almost married a girl named Theresa from Milton myself.
That Year of the Cat was a great tune. Who did that?

You are living retirement right! Thanks for the invite, but we had kids in town and several dogs too for the 4th. With Serenity Now just sold, I'm looking into my next Act. Stay tuned... but I don't think it will involve a camper and kayaks!

Looks like a great time. My wife and I had a brief trip to Button Bay SP a few years back, the tick that had bitten me a month earlier had given me Lyme and it just happened to hit me when were camping so we cut our July trip short.
Nice to see that the fireworks display is accessible, we might look into that campground again. We stayed at Emerald Lake SP for a couple days last week.

Yes Al, we were able to watch the fireworks at the airport right from our camp fire. When you book the site just make sure it has a north view and anywhere in the park should have the same
Show we saw…
Nice not to deal with traffic after:)
