I wanted to check if anyone is planning to fish the Inland Sea this weekend (4/26-27) despite the windy forecast? I plan to be at the John Guilmette Access Area around 10am on both Saturday and Sunday for approximately 2 hours to collect Atlantic Salmon stomach samples for our diet study.
Given the windy conditions, I'm trying to gauge if anglers will be out on the water before I commit to sampling. If few people are fishing, I may postpone collection.
Quick reminder:
- You keep all the fillets - I just need the stomach contents!
- We aim to collect 8 more samples from the Inland Sea to reach our goal of 15 for the Inland Sea
- If you catch a salmon, keep it alive in the livewell for as long as possible and if it dies, place it on ice immediately
