Met up with DYP partner from 5 years ago Brendon and one of his buddy Zane. Launched
Out of converse with one Canadian forum member boat beside us… good to talk to habitat Eric at the launch. Also good to see them into silvers right after setting up!
We motored to the morning hot spot and setup long lines off otters down about 8-10ft. We trolled around the moorings in 10-20fow all morning. Salmon were active and a couple lakers mixed in.
Water temps were 37-38 in this spot and 40-41 in another area we checked after lunch. Water color was a nice stained green. We did see some debris around Danyos but it was very fishable.
High point of the morning was getting a very nice 6lber to the net after a nice battle. Not all the salmon are 17-19”:) no pics as he was released in the water without coming out…
Lamprey were plentiful with some salmon coming up with 2 on them…
Today’s feast was a little different. Zane brought fresh lamb chops and we combined that with sliced potatoes cooked with Onions, pepper and butter n tinfoil.! lamb on the lake is always special, but this one was Zane-raised!
Small sticks still is took most fish with DB smelts taking 2-3’salmon, including the biggun…
24 water miles covered in 7.5 hrs of fun.
Thanks guys for the memorable trip. Gotta love that heavy 8am-10am bite this time of year…
Fish on!

Re: April fools converse trip
Looks likes a great time on the water. I will get there sooner or later between physical therapy an doctors appointments. Times like now wish I had a smaller v-hull rather than the curry something easier to launch then my other half would let me go. But seeing your post keeps me itching to get better so I can get out on the water. Tight lines an keep after them Reelax
