What a flip!

Post by Bearcat »

So Saturday afternoon in Westport, middle of the bay, we had 47 degree water at 40 feet down - for miles. 18 hours later, temp was 65 degrees down beyond 100 feet in the exact same location and a good way north into the narrows. Go figure. Water was colored. Fishing was slow, weeds were active, fleas weren’t an issue but I’m still running a heavy mono mainline. Water color was much cleaner in Whalons but I didn’t fish there. Maybe time to target walleye for a while.

Wow, that's crazy, Bearcat! I wouldn't expect the lake to flip like that this time of year. Kind of glad I didn't make it down there on Sunday after hearing this.

There is always the Sea:)

It has a good thermocline and relatively Bernie Bloom proof water…
