Weather for last Friday looked good so we planned a fishing trip.
Left at 5:30 am for a 55 mile ride offshore, weatherman was off. One hour into the ride, we had 6-7 foot swells.
Luckily it did eased down a bit and we made it to our destination. Took us 3 hours.
As temp warmed up in mid-morning, the sea calmed and trolling was productive.
At 4:30 pm we started our 2.5 hours ride back to shore.
We ended the day with one wahoo, 1 yellowfin tuna and 10 mahi. Missed 1 tuna, 1 wahoo and a bunch of mahi.
Boat coolers were full, took over 2 hours to fillet and clean the boat.
Overall, a memorable day, probably my last offshore trip this year as I will be heading North soon for salmon and walleye fishing.

Wow Gerry looks like a fun trip to round out the summer. I’ll get with you once back home in Montreal to setup a frostbite trip.

Hope to see you at the shootout.
