Garmin Echomap UHV 93 sv

Hi guys/gals,
I have the above unit and at end of day I usually pop it off the cradle and tuck it away in the "Go" bag for safekeeping. Well when I tried to do that today, it wouldn't snap off. Has anyone ( Jack ? ) had that happen to them ?
I got home and tried to use a screwdriver and was putting way more pressure than I wanted to........I am perplexed
