Finally some decent fish in the outer bay!
Finally some decent fish in the outer bay!
Got out at the crack of 11am and fished until 1:30pm today… Went 3 for 7, everything hitting cheaters with copper red head or rainbow trout spoons. Caught a small stocker and 2.5lb salmon, neither had lamprey hits. Then caught large Laker with 1 older lamprey hit. Was in 70-90 FOW with downriggers at 50’ and 58” and both with slide cheaters. Zero hits when I brought the downriggers up to 25’ and 29’. Marked fish 40’ to bottom.

Way to go, Big Bear!
I probed the shallows of the outer bay Thursday afternoon hoping to find some walleye. No luck on them, but I did catch a 27” northern that became supper!

I think all the deeper fish I saw were walleye or maybe perch. That’s a nice northern.
