34" Pike...with teeth marks on it's side

Post by Champlainbaits »

Hey Folks,

Went out with the family and ended up getting a 34" pike. Scary thing is it had what looked very much like teeth marks going down it's side :) I'm hoping to catch whatever it was that though this one looked tasty!

For some people it's "one more drink" or "one more bet" for me the lie is "just one more cast" :)

Sweet fish, looks like osprey or eagle talons...

Oh that's a great point...I see osprey and young eagle here everyday so that's a good possibility. So I take it back, I guess I don't want to catch what's been after this one :)

That's a nice "gator fish". I've had bass eaten off my stringer, but it does make you think about what lurks beneath. Talons would be a good bet. One big bird with a big appetite.

I know Pike and Musky will "try", to eat fish 2/3 their size..maybe a MONSTER Pike or Musky wanted him for dinner!

Fishmaster...I've had bowfin eat perch off the stringer too...cracks me up how unafraid of people those fish are. Raz the older my oldest gets the harder it is to get a genuine smile on film...I guess we'll just need to keep catching fish to keep him smiling. Themug yeah I'm on them pretty good here also. I got a shorter one the other day that was super fat...if I can combine that with length I'll be on to something. Bumpnrun...you might be on to something, I'm going to need to see an extended run of good luck before I upgrade the boat but I'm on a good run so it may happen.

I like the sound of that...if there's one thing I've learned it's that I have a lot to learn. Cold water is all new to me.

I think it looks like he was hit by a boat prop.

Looks like you all had a blast!
